Frequently Asked Questions

TradingPlan is primarily designed for trading stocks, but you can basically use it for anything that has a quantity and a price. You can define your own investment symbols and groups.

TradingPlan does not store card details. Credit card payments are handled securely by a third-party processor (Stripe.com).

There is currently no direct connection, but transactions can be imported using .csv files in a suitable format (see documentation). The question is about the original source of information. Is it a trading platform (or bank) and only statistical characteristics are added to the imported data later? Or, the entry is based on a transaction planned and described in the planning system. TradingPlan focuses on the last use case - from planning and execution to transaction review.

After termination of subscription the Service can still be accessed, but no new transactions can be entered. You can re-subscribe anytime to restore full access.

You can cancel anytime through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period. To delete your data you should export and download it before. Then you can delete your account if you wish. With full export your trades, plans and notes are exported, you may lose strategy details.

Only you own your data and it is not shared with any third party. We process data only to provide the Services, in line with our Privacy Policy.

About TradingPlan

After selling my tech company, I dove into trading in 2021 and made all possible mistakes there could be. Alexander Elder’s Trading Masterclass in 2022 flipped the switch: manage risk, follow a strategy, earn the right to trade - start small and scale up.

When Excel didn't give enough insight I started to build an online trading diary in 2024. Importing my trading history in early 2025 was a cold shower: a few big winners masked so-so daily results. That insight shaped TradingPlan - checklists, strategy tracking, and portfolio management all in one place.
